This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in engineering and manufacturing in Stoke-on-Trent.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in supporting operations through a wide range of duties, from receiving goods to preparing orders for dispatch. You'll work as part of a friendly, dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
This is a fantastic contract (4-5 months) offering great experience with a prestigious name in the engineering and
manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities:
Accept incoming goods and verify deliveries against purchase orders.
Accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders for dispatch.
Manage inventory through counting, stock rotation, and regular audits.
Identify and report any stock defects, discrepancies, or damage to your supervisor for corrective action.
Operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock safely across the site.
Safely use a scissor lift if licensed (desirable, but not essential).
Record returns and discrepancies into the warehouse management system accurately.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, including regular cleaning duties to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.
Support general warehouse and logistics operations as needed.
Adhere to all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.
Requirements:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (essential).
Previous warehouse experience (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Scissor Lift License (desirable but not mandatory).
