This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in engineering and manufacturing in Stoke-on-Trent.


As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in supporting operations through a wide range of duties, from receiving goods to preparing orders for dispatch. You'll work as part of a friendly, dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.


This is a fantastic contract (4-5 months) offering great experience with a prestigious name in the engineering and

manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities:


  • Accept incoming goods and verify deliveries against purchase orders.

  • Accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders for dispatch.

  • Manage inventory through counting, stock rotation, and regular audits.

  • Identify and report any stock defects, discrepancies, or damage to your supervisor for corrective action.

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to move stock safely across the site.

  • Safely use a scissor lift if licensed (desirable, but not essential).

  • Record returns and discrepancies into the warehouse management system accurately.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, including regular cleaning duties to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.

  • Support general warehouse and logistics operations as needed.

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.


Requirements:


  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (essential).

  • Previous warehouse experience (preferred but not essential).

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

  • Scissor Lift License (desirable but not mandatory).
