Technical Author

Join a leading Engineering and Manufacturing company as a Technical Author on a permanent basis in Bristol. As a Technical Author, you will research and analyse complex technical information to create documents that help customers operate equipment safely and efficiently, or enhance their understanding of specific technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for our high-tech products.
• Research and understand the technology and applications for documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and managers to clarify technical queries.
• Create and include photographs or illustrations as needed.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, and subject-matter experts for project launches and customer support documentation.
• Test and update written material with users.
• Maintain documentation systems, including version control and accuracy.
• Ensure timely organisation, management, and publication of technical information.
• Upload and download master files for translation.
• Coordinate with external providers like printers and translators.
• Demonstrate exemplary technical writing skills.
• Excellent technical comprehension of complex products and systems.
