Systems security architect

SALARY - UP TO £65,000!

Location - Stevenage

The role:

  • Package Management: Oversee activities involving multi-disciplinary engineers across the Engineering Directorate to design and deliver a comprehensive technical security solution within the defined budget and time-line.
  • Trade-space Management: Optimise the trade-space to enhance through-life protective measures without compromising product safety or customer appeal.
  • Security Case Preparation: Develop and maintain a robust security case, collaborating directly with the UK customer and their technical advisers to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Systems Design and Leadership: Perform a wide range of systems design and technical leadership tasks, ensuring a cohesive design across hardware, software, and firmware departments that can be integrated, tested, and qualified to validate the security solution's effectiveness.
  • Collaboration with Manufacturing and Support Teams: Work closely with manufacturing and support teams to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the missile/weapon system throughout manufacturing and various through-life support scenarios offered to customers.

What we want from you:

  • Expertise in Missile/Weapon System Design: In-depth knowledge of through-life missile/weapon system design, with the ability to understand and manage the trade-space within that design.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with multi-disciplinary engineers, technical experts, senior management, and technical customers.
  • Robust Engineering Skills: A strong engineering background, preferably in systems engineering, electronics design, embedded software, or firmware.
