Role Overview:
The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge large cargo and handheld engineering projects within the Cargo Division. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, Product Line Manager, and Cross-Functional Teams, the Systems Engineer will leverage their expertise in systems engineering principles and processes to help ensure the successful execution of projects that meet critical requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, control and utilization of key engineering project activities relating to Cargo and Handheld products across the company.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish product/project requirements
- Design, develop, and implement system architectures that meet product/project objectives
- Work with cross-functional product teams to identify then close key decisions early in the design process to mitigate technical/schedule risk
- Act as a primary design reviewer during each phase of the development process
- Work closely with the System Integration & Test group on to ensure proper V&V testing performed with proper documentation and traceability
- Identify and help resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform System Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience as a systems Engineer in a relevant field of work
- BEng/BSc in an Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

- Strong project and people management skills
- Knowledge of a broad range of engineering disciplines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, collaborative environment
- Willingness to travel domestic and international, occasional
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
- Experience with system integration, testing, and validation
Desirable
- Experience in using CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Eplan or SolidWorks.
