Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for tackling complex engineering problems? At MBDA, we're looking for talented individuals to join our Modelling & Simulation team to perform activities including algorithm development, data analysis, and simulation of cutting-edge Seeker systems. Be part of projects that push the boundaries of technology in radar propagation, hardware response, and embedded software algorithms.


The Opportunity

As a Systems Engineer in this dynamic and collaborative role, you'll work on:

  • Seeker chain simulations covering radar propagation, hardware response, and embedded algorithms.
  • Developing sophisticated models and coding directly in tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Supporting field trials, lab testing, and systems studies on Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs) and multi-mode sensors.
  • Innovating solutions in multi-national engineering teams while interacting with key stakeholders.

You'll have the chance to contribute to high-profile projects like Future Cruise Anti-Ship Weapon (FC/ASW) and Meteor, which feature cutting-edge technologies.


What We're Looking For

We're seeking proactive, adaptable individuals with a STEM degree (or equivalent experience) and a passion for innovation. Essential skills include:

  • Modelling and coding expertise.
  • Experience in algorithm development and data analysis.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.

While not essential, experience in the following areas is desirable, and we'll provide support to develop these skills:

  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing.
  • Experience in formal software or firmware development.
  • Familiarity with model verification, configuration control, and machine learning/AI.
