Senior Process Engineer - Chemical Recycling
Our client, an innovative leader in the chemical recycling industry, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a state-of-the-art chemical recycling facility in the Netherlands. With a commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles, our client is pioneering technology that converts hard-to-recycle plastic waste into valuable resources for new plastic production.

Role Overview


As a Senior Process Engineer, you will take ownership of the process engineering function, overseeing the detailed design, commissioning, and operational support of the demonstration-scale plant. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, both internally and with third-party engineers, to ensure the project meets all specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Regular travel to Belgium will be required to collaborate with EPCM contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the process engineering function for the design and commissioning of the new plant.
  • Ensure designs comply with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, etc.) for seamless project integration.
  • Manage third-party consulting engineers and oversee the development of key process documentation.
  • Oversee equipment selection, procurement, and commissioning processes.
  • Provide ongoing technical support during plant start-up and operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in process engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Experience with first-of-a-kind or pilot plants is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Belgium.
