They are looking for a seasoned Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team, bringing expertise in system dynamics and control.
The Role:
As a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within a cross-functional project team, contributing to the design and development of sophisticated electromechanical systems. You will be responsible for reviewing mechanical design solutions, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that all functional and non-functional performance requirements are met. This role involves close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines and requires travel for on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate mechanical design solutions to meet customer needs.
- Provide technical guidance to team members throughout the product development process.
- Develop and manage system and subsystem product requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of control systems, including AC/DC motors, servo systems, and PID control.
- Utilize computer-based tools (e.g., Simulink, MATLAB) for system design and simulation.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide mentorship to engineering teams.
About You:
- Degree in Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronic, or dual Electrical-Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 18 years' experience in electromechanical and servo system design.
- Strong expertise in dynamic system modeling, control systems, and motor/drive mechanism selection.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D orthographic engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with robots, optical and laser-based vision systems, and DfX principles is highly desirable.
Working Hours:
39 hours per week with flexible start and finish times available.
