Experience in Data Centre, Pharmaceutical or Semi-Conductor

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage all electrical systems within your assigned scope of works

  • Liaise with key stakeholders including design teams, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to support project engineering requirements

  • Review design and IFC specifications/drawings to ensure full understanding of project scope

  • Lead coordination activities to translate design into construction-ready drawings, managing RFIs and technical queries where necessary

  • Monitor site safety alongside the project safety advisor, including setup and closure of safety documentation

  • Coordinate QA processes in collaboration with the project QA team, ensuring full documentation and compliance

  • Assist in managing the overall project schedule, ensuring engineering inputs such as procurement do not hinder progress

  • Take ownership of assigned packages including internal teams, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations, and valuations

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed

  • Track subcontractor activities, monitor progress against the programme, and lead weekly site coordination meetings

  • Ensure all works are installed according to specification and QA requirements, including benchmarking and quality standards

  • Provide engineering support to the site installation team, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications

  • Manage the development and execution of Construction Work Packs to support project delivery and handover

  • Coordinate snagging works, ensuring subcontractors receive and close weekly punch lists

  • Submit internal labour and subcontractor hours for central tracking

  • Attend and contribute to project/site meetings, engineering reviews, coordination meetings, and handover sessions

  • Support project close-out including final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, QA and safety documentation, and relocation of material and plant

  • Issue weekly cost reports, covering all orders placed, materials expected, and workforce tracking

  • Maintain and manage an Engineering Task Log, ensuring key activities and deadlines are consistently monitored

  • Submit internal weekly progress reports with updates on completion percentages and potential risks

  • Submit external weekly progress reports identifying delays, design hold-ups, third-party constraints, and completion rates

  • Manage technical submittals and approval processes

  • Schedule and track material deliveries in line with project schedule, using EMRs to manage material take-offs and site needs

  • Maintain a comprehensive photographic diary of weekly site progress

  • Prepare subcontract and supplier tender packages in collaboration with the commercial team

  • Assess subcontract and supplier tender returns for technical compliance with project specifications

  • Promote new engineering practices and processes to improve project delivery timelines

  • Lead BIM coordination including modularisation concepts, fabrication detailing, isometric releases, and asset validation

  • Maintain control of change management within the BIM model and construction scope

  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their professional development

  • Participate in planning sessions and project coordination meetings as required

  • Carry out any other duties associated with the role



Qualification


  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with a recognised mechanical or electrical contractor

  • Strong planning and organisational capabilities

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Excellent decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of proficiency with engineering software systems

  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with CAD/BIM and project planning tools such as Primavera

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle high workloads
