Are you an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in product data management and configuration control? MBDA is seeking a Senior Configuration Engineer to join a motivated team supporting key defence projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to critical programs, develop advanced configuration management skills, and work towards professional accreditation.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Configuration Engineer, you'll be at the heart of ensuring product data integrity and governance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials (BoMs) for large, complex product assemblies.
- Preparing and managing Configuration Management documentation to govern project activities.
- Managing and implementing engineering design changes across multi-stakeholder environments.
- Conducting supplier audits to ensure Configuration Management processes are upheld throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborating closely with project stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and teamwork.
- Using PTC Windchill as a Product Lifecycle Management tool (experience is preferred).
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management, ideally within the defence or aerospace industries.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management principles in aerospace/defence, including preparation and handling of governance documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and present engineering design changes within a controlled environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with integrity in managing engineering data, drawings, and CAD models.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration across functional and project teams.
