Project Location: Galway, Ireland
Experience in Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor or Substation
Must hold either a EU Passport or Residency in Ireland
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality planning and scheduling support to the Project Manager.
- Manage, mentor, and guide junior planners as required.
- Review contract documentation to identify key scheduling and tracking requirements.
- Develop a detailed construction schedule based on the high-level target schedule and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) provided by the Project Manager.
- Assist in client schedule negotiations, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Load the schedule with labour and metrics, incorporating hours and quantities received from the Commercial Team.
- Develop and maintain trackers and reporting templates to monitor project progress.
- Create a fully integrated construction schedule in collaboration with the Main Contractor and Project Manager.
- Measure and track weekly progress and efficiency in consultation with the Site Team, formally validating this with the Commercial Team every 2-3 weeks.
- Identify and highlight potential risks and roadblocks to the project team and Lead Planner on an ongoing basis.
Qualification
- 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying or strong trades background coupled with technical ability may be considered
- 5+ years' experience / demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work
- Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information
- Must be capable of coordinating the development of multiple project plans
- Microsoft Project / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools - Excellent report writing skills
