We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager - Fleet Interventions to oversee the preparation and execution of major vessel repairs. This role requires a strong background in Project Management and/or Ship Repair Project Management and involves both office-based planning and on-site execution at various shipyards worldwide. The Project Manager will spend approximately nine months in Antwerp HQ for preparation and around three months abroad for on-site execution, depending on the project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare technical specifications and work scopes for ship repairs.
Project Execution:
- Oversee the execution of ship repair projects at various shipyard locations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Manage project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to plan.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Project Management or Ship Repair Project Management.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience in the maritime or offshore industry
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in ship repair
