Project Engineer Utilities - ElectroMechanical (Offshore)

Mission Description:

Are you eager to work on a project for a key player in the Belgian energy landscape?
The Belgian and European energy sectors are undergoing significant transformation. Our client plays a critical role in this landscape by ensuring the reliability and sustainability of electricity supply in the region. As a Project Engineer, you will join a team working on a sustainable and reliable energy infrastructure that fosters economic growth while reducing the ecological footprint.
We believe that diversity drives innovation, creativity, and better results. Together, we can achieve the greatest impact in the energy transition.
To support Europe and Belgium's energy transition objectives, our client is expanding its offshore high-voltage grid by developing the Modular Offshore Grid 2 (MOG 2). This grid will connect new Belgian wind farms located in the "Princess Elisabeth Windfarm Zone."
The current plan involves:

  • Developing multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220kV (with wind farms connecting at the 66kV level).
  • Installing six 220kV AC export cable systems of approximately 50 km each.
  • Establishing an HVDC connection (one offshore converter, one onshore converter, and an HVDC cable system) between the artificial island and the new substation to be determined under the Ventilus project.
  • Enabling connections for future HVDC interconnectors.
