Mane are looking for an experienced Project Director with a strong Mechanical background to join them on an exciting Pharmaceutical project.
We are looking for a proactive, well-organized Project Director with strong leadership skills to manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective contingency plans.

  • Oversee multiple mechanical contracts from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet client specifications, deadlines, and budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and negotiate contracts and agreements as required.
  • Manage project finances, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and bids for new projects.
  • Implement and maintain structures to monitor and control project expenditures against budgets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely commercial reports are produced for Senior Management.
  • Work closely with Directors and Site Managers to identify potential risks or issues and recommend solutions.
  • Provide monthly progress reports to Senior Management/Directors.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management/Directors to align with business goals.
  • Foster productive, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external clients.


Candidate Requirements:

  • A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Director/Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry.
  • Experience managing mechanical packages on Life Science or large-scale semiconductor/Data Centre projects for an M&E contractor is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including design, installation, and operation.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe.
  • A valid full driving license.
