Project Director

Our client is an international engineering and contracting company dedicated to projects in the energy sector. With a deep commitment to safety, quality and innovation, we provide with over 2,400 employees a wide range of solutions and services to the renewable energy sector.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Director to lead large projects. The Project Director will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of this key initiative. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and project management skills, capable of navigating complex challenges and driving project success.

As the Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of the project. You will work closely with our consortium partner and various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure that the project meets its objectives and delivers value.

Your role will involve:

  • Full commercial and technical responsibility of the project.
  • Responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental.
  • Managing our consortium interests with relevant stakeholders.
  • Leading in alignment with our values and leadership philosophy.
  • Ensuring through your managers that the scope and defined objectives are adhered to the project.
  • Managing the team and establish Projects Teams to deliver on promised deadlines.

You can build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, stakeholders and are passionate about building high performance project teams. In addition, being able to structure your time with a high degree of flexibility is something you take pride in, as is your solution-oriented approach.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • A relevant engineering degree, such as Electrical Engineer, Marine Engineering or similar.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects (preferably within either the offshore or energy industry)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong experience with stakeholder and risk management.
  • Drive and commitment with a commercial mindset.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written German & English.
