About the role:

  • As a Project Cost Capability Lead, your role will be extraordinary. We are supplementing the current Project Management & Project Controls (PM&PC) function by implementing complementary, focused disciplines. Consequently, we are seeking a driven and experienced professional to develop and maintain a robust project estimating and cost management community, capability, and culture across our Mission Systems business.

  • Day to day, you will lead a community of specialists in estimating and cost management, focusing on professional development, mentoring, and coaching. Additionally, you will collaborate with the PM&PC Function Operations Lead to generate a pipeline of suitably qualified and experienced professionals in line with delivery demands across the portfolio.

Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in project estimating and cost management/control techniques, including forecasting, performance reporting (e.g., EVM), and quantitative risk analysis.
  • Proven track record of leading estimating and cost management for large, technically complex equipment or system delivery contracts.
  • Proficient in using or working alongside related software tools such as MSP, P6, Active Risk Manager, RiskHive, Deltek Cobra, Safran, or Primavera Risk Analyzer.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
