Job Title: Vehicle Prepper

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Understand and follow detailed work instructions relating to the painting of vehicles.
  • Ensure that all station operations on each vehicle are completed to the required quality standard.
  • Ensure that all operations are completed within the required timescale.
  • Work as part of a team to define and solve problems that may be affecting the quality, cost, or productivity of the vehicles being produced.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested.
  • Understand and adhere to our client's values and contribute to the growth of the automotive brand.
  • Undertake the exterior prepping of vehicles for paint and polish using the correct materials and tools.
  • Inspect finished vehicles to ensure no defects, achieving a perfect finish every time.
  • Be confident using all necessary tools and materials, and have experience or be comfortable working in a modern OEM environment.
  • Ensure there are no defects in the work produced.
  • Adhere to all requirements for hazardous or non-hazardous waste disposal.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Experience working within an automotive environment would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience working as part of a team is desirable.
  • Experience working to timescales would be advantageous.
  • Quality-focused with meticulous attention to detail is preferred.
  • Experience working with carbon fibre materials would be an advantage.
  • Ability to follow established processes.
  • Experience in exterior polishing of vehicles using the correct materials and tools is an advantage.
  • Experience inspecting finished vehicles to ensure no defects, achieving a perfect finish every time is an advantage.
  • Experience with flattening, polishing, and touching up is desirable.
  • Experience maintaining and cleaning equipment is an advantage.
  • Experience ensuring there are no defects in work produced is an advantage.
