Overall Purpose of the Job 

 

To carry out controlled and efficient execution of all operational activities. Maintain effective client and employee relations.


Roles and Responsibilities 

 

*

Conduct review of mobilisation list and supervise mobilisation.

*

Assist in the management of onsite operations.

*

Liaise with client onsite.

*

Ensure QA and HSE requirements are met.

*

Supervise activities and health & safety of junior staff.

*

Oversee general daily functions performed/assigned to subordinates.

*

Offer guidance and support to site crew members as required.

*

On-the-job monitoring of tasks and activities.

*

Empowerment of subordinates in achievement of tasks.

*

Encourage and develop team relationships.

*

Ensure compliance with Quality and HSE Management System by ensuring that all operational requirements are performed / completed in accordance with agreed procedures.

*

Mentor/Coach Junior members of the crew.

*

Fully competent in the operation and maintenance of relevant equipment.

*

Accurately spot equipment, bunded area and containers to minimise disruption to client's site. Ensuring that all safety requirements are met and understood.

*

The ability to perform job specific calculations.

*

Regularly perform equipment maintenance.

*

Review equipment specification and ensure that equipment is certified for use.

*

Assist in completion of paperwork to agreed standard.

*

Responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted under the relevant client permit to work system.

*

Responsibility for Equipment Inventory and safe equipment back load from client's site.

*

Report Writing - Input to Project Documentation, Project Quality Plans, Project Risk Assessments, Safe Job Analysis etc.

*

To carry out your duties and responsibilities in accordance with any and all Company Policies, protocols, procedures, risk assessments and systems (including emergency and incident routines) as well as specific site assignment instruction/requirements.

*

Travel to other company's office/yard.

*

Adhering to Company's policies and procedures.


 


Qualifications Required (Technical, Professional, Academic) 

 

Essential:

  • Basic Secondary. Preferred:
  • College Diploma or higher.

 

Experience Required 

 

Essential:

  • Experience in an onshore/offshore Oil & Gas Market.
  • Able to read P&ID's /Isometric Drawings.
  • Offshore experience in Nitrogen Operations.
  • Able to Line Walk & Punch List systems. Preferred:
  • Ability to perform job specific calculations.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Diesel engines.

 

Personal Skills

  • Strong personal leadership supervisory skills.
  • Must have previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Willing to complete offshore visits.
  • Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Ability to work well in a team whilst also independently using own initiative.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Confident and articulate.
  • Good diplomacy skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in providing advice and support to senior management.
  • Proactive with a high attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Pipeline and Process Testing operations and the equipment used.
  • Ideally experience within the project environment.
  • Strong quality focus is a must and able to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
