Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical systems for data centre construction projects.
Review and coordinate mechanical designs and ensure their integration with the overall project.
Manage mechanical contractors and ensure all work complies with design specifications and safety regulations.
Provide technical support and resolve any issues arising during installation or commissioning.
Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Oversee testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring all systems perform optimally.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company quality standards.
Act as the point of contact for any mechanical engineering-related queries during construction.
Qualifications
BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, Safe Pass, etc.).
3-6 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, ideally within data centres, industrial, or pharmaceutical sectors.
Competent in reviewing mechanical design packages, managing procurement, and supporting site delivery.
Experience working with chilled water systems, AHUs, pumps, and other mechanical plant equipment.
Comfortable liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
