Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6 AM-2 PM and 10 AM-6 PM, alternating shifts

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading engineering company based near Sandown, Isle of Wight. In this hands-on role, you will perform planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This position also offers upskilling opportunities, including electrical training, to broaden your technical skill set.

Key Skills / Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical maintenance background with experience in fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining production machinery.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and preventive maintenance.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering).
• Willingness to undergo electrical training as part of your development.
