Logistic Manager

Project Location: Helsinki, Finland
Project Type: Hyper scale Data Centre
Experience: Preference for candidates with experience in site logistics, storage management, and coordination of deliveries in large-scale construction projects.
Eligibility: Must hold either an EU Passport or Residency in Finland.

• 
  Site Logistics Management:
• 
  Manage the compound for all available storage areas on-site.
• 
  Book and coordinate the delivery of materials to the site.
• 
  Coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure they understand delivery locations and follow safety instructions.
• 
  Maintain strong organisational skills to ensure deliveries are handled in an orderly manner.
• 
  Sub-Contractor Coordination:
• 
  Attend pre-start meetings with sub-contractors to communicate on-site challenges, storage space, and delivery booking through the Datascope system.
• 
  Liaise closely with sub-contractors to ensure effective traffic management of all vehicles on-site.
• 
  Encourage a "just in time" approach to deliveries and ensure all deliveries are complete.
• 
  Site Operations:
• 
  Prevent congestion and blockage of site roads by ensuring all loading and unloading occurs within the compound.
• 
  Manage operatives to ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and work ethics.
• 
  Record and trace labour allocation and work reports.
  • 
    Education: 3rd level qualification in an engineering or construction-related field is desirable. However, a strong trades background with 3+ years of experience in a similar role will also be considered.

    Ideally, 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • 
    Strong, proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • 
    In-depth practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, sub-contractors, and operatives.
