The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Electronics Systems Engineer with a deep passion for embedded electronics. As part of our efficient and agile team, you will work alongside systems, hardware, telemetry, and embedded software engineers to develop and support critical solutions for Formula 1.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics engineering and experience in embedded system development, encompassing both hardware (schematic and PCB design, debugging) and embedded software (microcontrollers and microprocessors). Proficiency in creating comprehensive technical documentation-including system requirements, specifications, test plans, and test reports-is essential.

This role requires a product-oriented mindset, focusing on managing solutions from conception to deployment. Key responsibilities include requirement gathering, guiding the design process, and meticulous documentation. You will work collaboratively with hardware and software teams to realize solutions, fully supporting project goals throughout the development process.

While not primarily a travel role, there may be opportunities to attend F1 races to support product deployment and handover phases.

Both Electronics Systems Engineers and Senior Electronics Systems Engineers are encouraged to apply, as we aim to find the best fit for the team.

  • Education & Experience: Degree or equivalent industry experience in electronics engineering or a closely related field (e.g., mechatronics).
  • Engineering Background: Solid experience in embedded systems development, especially through the full lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in engineering design and documentation of electronic systems and components. Key technical skills include:
    • Python, C, Linux
    • Schematic capture and PCB design
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor technical information to various audiences.
  • Planning & Organization: Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Documentation Skills: Highly proficient in creating clear, detailed documentation for both internal and external audiences.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving. Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
