Hourly Rate: £13.18 per hour PAYE (Training Rate), £17.20 per hour Umbrella + Shift Allowance
Duration: 3 months
Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Hours:

• Training Period (First 2-4 weeks): 6:30 am - 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
• Shift Pattern (Post-Training): 6:30 am - 6:30 pm, 4 days on, 4 days off
• Standard Weekly Hours: 46 hours

Rates:

• Training Period: £17.20 Umbrella or £12.67 per hour PAYE + Overtime & Shift Rates

About the Role:

We are seeking skilled Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join a leading manufacturing company in Crawley. This role involves assembling and building precision machinery while working to exacting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and build a variety of special-purpose machinery from scratch.
• Perform precision fitting and assembly tasks, ensuring tight tolerances are maintained.
• Conduct point-to-point wiring, cable crimping, and termination work.
• Fit and assemble complex sub-assemblies and vacuum systems (experience in vacuum systems is a plus).
• Use hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers, and ratchet sets, along with power tools.
• Utilize measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometers to ensure accuracy.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in assembling special-purpose machinery or similar roles.
• Skilled in precision fitting and able to work to tight tolerances.
• Competent in electrical and mechanical assembly work, including sub-assembly fitting.
• Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Experience with vacuum systems would be advantageous.
