Project Location: Ireland (Flexible on Location)

Project Type: HV Projects Ireland (Ranging from Onshore Substation, Energy Centres & Hyperscale Data Centres)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for HV projects, including onshore substations, energy centres, and hyperscale data centres.

  • Review tender documents and perform detailed quantity take-offs.

  • Conduct site visits and assessments for project data collection.

  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.

  • Develop and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure competitive pricing.

  • Identify potential project risks and opportunities, providing strategies to mitigate risks and optimise costs.

  • Provide detailed cost reports and presentations to senior management and clients.

  • Ensure estimates comply with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Monitor market trends, material costs, and labour costs to inform accurate estimates.

  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless project delivery and budgeting.



Qualification


  • Proven experience as an HV Estimator, preferably in energy, data centres, or related sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of HV systems, substations, and electrical engineering principles.

  • Experience in estimating costs for complex HV infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency with estimation software (e.g., CostX, Estimator).

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).

  • Familiarity with Irish construction regulations and standards (desirable).

  • Experience with hyperscale data centre projects (desirable).

  • Membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., CIBSE, IEI) is a plus.
