Project Location: Odense, Denmark

Experience in Data Centre, Pharmaceutical or Semi-Conductor

Must hold either a EU Passport or Residency in Netherlands

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to the project and company Safety Management System.
  • Comply with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) statutory provisions and legislation.
  • Follow and enforce Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
  • Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the project safety statement.
  • Track and report project safety indicators.
  • Manage and maintain good safety practices on-site, including conducting ongoing health and safety assessments and controlling hazardous substances.
  • Ensure that all safety interventions are completed and properly documented.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools, and equipment.
  • Take a proactive approach to project EHS requirements.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to implement safety initiatives.
  • Provide safety input to site management and participate in EHS forums.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with project EHS policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage site induction and training programmes.
  • Ensure project PPE is adequately resourced and available.
  • Prepare and deliver toolbox talks as necessary.
  • Assist with or conduct accident investigations, ensuring timely reporting to project management.
  • Oversee and maintain site welfare and hygiene facilities.
  • Liaise with project management on all environmental, health, and safety matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for inclusion in the Safety File.
  • Ensure waste reduction and recycling programmes are maintained in line with project policies and procedures.


Qualification

  • Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
  • 5+ years' experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites.
  • Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
  • Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
  • NEBOSH certificate level qualification
