Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to the project and company Safety Management System.
  • Comply with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) statutory provisions and legislation.
  • Follow and enforce project and PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
  • Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the project execution plan.
  • Track and report project safety indicators.
  • Promote and maintain good safety practices on-site.
  • Conduct ongoing Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (C.O.S.H.H) assessments and manage hazardous substance controls.
  • Ensure safety interventions are completed and properly documented.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools, and equipment.
  • Take a proactive approach to project EHS requirements.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to support EHS initiatives.
  • Provide safety input to site management and participate in EHS forums.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with project and company EHS policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage the coordination of site inductions and training.
  • Ensure project PPE is adequately resourced and available.
  • Prepare and deliver toolbox talks as necessary.
  • Assist with or conduct accident investigations, ensuring timely reporting to project management.
  • Oversee and maintain site welfare and hygiene facilities.
  • Liaise with project management on all environmental, health, and safety matters.
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation is included in the Safety File.
  • Maintain waste reduction and recycling programmes in line with project policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties associated with this role.



Qualification

  • Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
  • 5+ years' experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites.
  • Experience working on Data Centres
  • 5+ years managing a team of EHS advisors.
