Responsibilities
- Manage site safety in collaboration with the Safety Advisor, including the setup, management, and closeout of the safety file as part of the management team.
- Oversee subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedules and staffing levels. Monitor daily resource levels and production rates, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Attend and contribute to weekly subcontractor meetings, ensuring key actions are documented and followed up.
- Maintain a detailed daily site diary, recording subcontractor resource levels, active work fronts, and photographic evidence of progress.
- Manage site QA in collaboration with the CSA Package Manager, overseeing the setup, tracking, and closeout of QA documentation. Conduct continuous inspections of subcontractor work and maintain detailed records via checklists.
- Implement and oversee the snagging process, ensuring weekly punch lists are returned and coordinated efficiently to maintain progress.
- Coordinate site activities between CSA subcontractors and other interfaces, ensuring smooth integration with other trades and site operations. Represent the team in site coordination meetings.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the project programme, ensuring alignment with scheduling requirements. Communicate and coordinate programme details with subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Identify and report any site events with potential commercial impact, such as deviations, variations, or delays, to the CSA Manager to ensure accurate cost tracking and claims.
- Issue internal weekly progress reports, including supervisors' updates, order placements, expected material deliveries, and labour levels.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the CSA Manager and Planner, highlighting completion percentages based on WBS codes, key concerns, and risk elements such as late deliveries, unavailable work areas, design shortages, and third-party hold-ups.
- Schedule material deliveries in line with the project schedule, tracking critical deliveries whether procured internally or by subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings as required.
- Assist with project closeout, including the finalisation of O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, and QA documentation, in collaboration with the CSA Package Manager.
- Ensure that both internal and external KPIs are achieved.
- Assist with the management of all costs related to the CSA package, including:
- CSA team coordination
- Subcontractor management
- Material deliveries and goods receipting
- Plant and equipment usage
- Variations and valuations
- Maintain an accurate and detailed daily site diary on BIM ACVC, ensuring all key events and scheduling issues are recorded and logged appropriately.
- Perform any other duties associated with the role as required.
Qualification- 5 - 10 years previous experience in civil works or fit out background.
- Proven record of supervising and involvement of large installation projects
