Key Responsibilities
Oversee the coordination of Shell & Core work packages.
Manage site safety in collaboration with the Safety Advisor, including the setup, administration, and close-out of safety documentation.
Ensure site quality assurance (QA) processes are implemented and maintained in coordination with the Project Manager and wider team.
Manage project scheduling in conjunction with planners, project managers, subcontractors, and consulting engineers/architects, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
Oversee cost management with support from the project QS, covering:- Labour
- Materials
- Plant and equipment
- Variations
- Valuations
Supervise daily site operations.
Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against the schedule and workforce levels, with a weekly minuted meeting to review performance.
Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety records, is up to date and properly filed for future reference.
Monitor and action all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance among personnel.
Review and approve all safety documentation before submission to EHS, with final sign-off by the Package Lead.
Participate in site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover discussions.
Oversee the close-out of all project elements, including final account, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety file, QA documentation, material and plant relocations, and project plans, supported by the project team.
Provide daily progress reports to the Project Manager.
Submit weekly safety statistics and project labour projections.
Conduct weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure variations are captured and costs are communicated to the client.
Implement and refine company procedures in collaboration with project managers.
Ensure proper change management in relation to cost and schedule adjustments.
Review drawings and setting-out details for accuracy.
Develop and track RFIs (Requests for Information) and TSs (Technical Submittals), escalating delays as necessary.
Ensure builders' works drawings incorporate service requirements within the base build.
Carry out, distribute, and close out CSA snagging lists.
Perform all other duties associated with the role.
Coordinate with the design team and project coordinators to prioritise and release required construction information in line with the schedule.
Apply a methodical approach and strong problem-solving skills to resolve design and development challenges.
Qualification- Proven record of coordinating and managing Small/Medium installation projects
- Degree qualified in Civil or structural Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- At least 5 years of site management experience
- Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets
