Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commissioning responsibilities on-site, including the setup, execution, and closeout of the project commissioning plan.
  • Oversee direct reports, including commissioning and testing personnel.
  • Manage the commissioning tagging process and procedures.
  • Report progress on all commissioning activities both internally and externally.
  • Chair weekly commissioning meetings and direct weekly commissioning activities.
  • Lead daily whiteboard meetings on commissioning.
  • Host general contractor and client commissioning meetings, providing weekly progress reports.
  • Develop the project commissioning schedule in coordination with project planners.
  • Manage the "Lock Out - Tag Out" processes and procedures.
  • Oversee area control permits for restricted and controlled areas (e.g., electrical switch rooms).
  • Compile all testing and commissioning documentation, verifying and signing off results.
  • Ensure familiarity with and management of the project commissioning schedule in collaboration with other trades, package leads, consulting engineers, and client requirements.
  • Track all testing and commissioning staff on-site and issue labour allocation tracker sheets daily.



Qualification

  • Degree in Engineering and at least 5 years' experience in a commissioning manager role on large scale industrial projects. Or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Applicants must have extensive Commissioning knowledge of the typical Mechanical and Electrical systems associated with Data Centres.
  • A thorough understanding of building regulation and European standards, codes and practices.
  • The ability to manage and execute a full IST and previous experience in the past is essential.
  • The development of all required IST documentation and to manage the completion of same on a digital platform.
  • Excellent organisational skills and be effective at prioritising tasks in order to achieve project deadlines and budgets.
