Coded Welder

Mane Infrastructure are currently looking for a number of Coded Welders (MIG, TIG) for a stainless steel tank building project lcoated in Kent.

Welder Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Expertly welds 3mm through 10mm stainless steel/ Duplex with MIG and TIG welding in various positions. (preferably coded welders)
  • Fitting and welding of nozzles and other appurtenances in tank roofs and shell parts
  • Reads and comprehends construction drawings and specifications.
  • Lays out and installs piping, equipment, nozzles/manholes in compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
  • Marks up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
  • Works in conjunction with Dutch tankbuilding crew and Site Construction Manager to achieve planned schedules.
  • Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the welder.
  • Assist with other activities as the situation requires, such as lifting activities, loading/unloading trucks, maintenance on equipment, housekeeping etc.
  • Has a good work ethic, works safe and accurate.

Please note:

Due to the nature of this work, our client has requested that all Welders interested in starting on the project in Sittingbourne, Kent MUST go to their workshop in Holland for 6-8 weeks. All travel (flights), accommodation and food allowances will be paid.

You will be required to work with our client in Holland for this period (6-8 weeks) where they will train your up to their standards so you are familiar with the way they work.

After the 6-8-week period, you will be offered a return flight back to the UK, where you will start in Sittingbourne, Kent. (6 months' worth of work once you return)

Welding Test Info:

  1. Welding tests will be conducted on site in Sittingbourne, Kent on Week Commencing Monday 26 August 2024.
  2. Successful applicants will then be flown out to Holland Week Commencing Monday 02nd September 2024

Working Hours:

10 hours paid per shift minimum (07:00am - 17:00pm)

12 hours paid per shift are likely to be on offer (07:00am - 19:00pm)

Working Rotation:

Monday - Saturday (6 days per week guaranteed)

Rates:

Monday - Friday - £30.00 per hour

Saturday - £45.00 per hour

Duration:

6 - 12 months
