CNC Service Engineer

Job Title: Mobile Service Engineer - Precision CNC Machinery
Location: North West Region (with occasional travel across the UK and Ireland)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum OTE Extra £10,000

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Service Engineer for a prestigious client of ours specializing in precision CNC machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, diagnosing, and installing CNC machines. This role requires extensive travel across the North West region and occasionally throughout the UK and Ireland, with the expectation of staying away from home for an average of one week spread across a month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing and Maintenance: Conduct regular servicing and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs on malfunctioning CNC machines, minimizing downtime for our clients.
• Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Installations: Install new CNC machinery at client sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
• Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service, offering technical support and guidance to clients.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of services performed, repairs, and installations.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies during all service activities.
• Travel: Travel extensively within the North West region and occasionally across the UK and Ireland, with overnight stays as required.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Overtime:
  • Monday to Friday: Time and a third pay
  • Saturday: Time and a half pay
  • Sunday and Bank Holidays: Double pay

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing CNC machinery.
• Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with expertise in CNC machinery.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home as required.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license.
• Education: Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
