Cell Leader - Aerospace/Defence Test House
Location: Sunbury-on-Thames
Salary: Dependant on experience

Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in electro-mechanical testing within an aerospace or defence test house? We are seeking a Cell Leader to join our Operations team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This role is pivotal in ensuring rigorous testing standards, meeting production targets, and driving continuous improvement in a high-reliability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate electro-mechanical testing within a shared service cell, ensuring adherence to aerospace and defence standards.
  • Manage and oversee product testing, including calibration of chambers and test rigs.
  • Own and maintain the ATP test database, ensuring accurate test reporting and compliance.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage a team to meet production and quality objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean), identifying areas for process optimisation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and conduct regular team performance reviews.
  • Act as a deputy for the Production Manager when required.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in an aerospace/defence electro-mechanical test house.
  • In-depth knowledge of test procedures, compliance requirements, and quality standards in the aerospace/defence sector.
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical product testing, calibration, and fault analysis.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles (6S, Lean Manufacturing) and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse test data and drive corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
