Cable Technician

We are seeking an experienced Cable Testing Technician with a strong background in WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) systems and high-voltage cables. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of cable tests, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct electrical tests on 690V to 1000V unshielded cables, including:
• Insulation Resistance Test (IR)
• AC Hipot Test (AC HP)
• Perform testing on 6 kV shielded cables, including:
• Very Low Frequency (VLF) Withstand Test
• Execute tests on 10 kV and above shielded cables, including:
• Very Low Frequency (VLF) Withstand Test
• Alternative tests to VLF withstand tests
• DC HiPot Test (DC HP) (only for brand-new cables)
• Utilize industry-standard tools to perform accurate and efficient testing.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certifications in Working at Heights and High Voltage operations.
• Proven WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) experience.
• Strong background in cable testing and execution (not inspection).
• Proficiency in handling testing equipment, including:
• Fluke Digital Multimeter
• Technician Standard Toolkit
• Megger device for insulation resistance measurement
• Micro-ohmmeter device
