Anodiser - Aerospace & Defence

Location: Denham
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000pa + 22.5% Shift Allowance

Shift: Double Days 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Anodiser to join a leading Aerospace & Defence manufacturer based in Denham. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out anodising processes on high-precision aerospace components, ensuring strict compliance with industry and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform anodising treatments (Type I, II, III) on aluminium components to required aerospace standards.
  • Operate and maintain anodising tanks, etching, and chemical processing equipment.
  • Conduct pre-treatment cleaning, masking, and jigging of components before processing.
  • Monitor chemical bath conditions, adjusting as necessary to maintain quality.
  • Carry out quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with aerospace and defence regulations (e.g., NADCAP, AS9100).
  • Maintain accurate records of processing parameters and test results.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Engineering teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety and environmental regulations when handling chemicals and working in a controlled environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in anodising processes, ideally within the Aerospace, Defence, or Precision Engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processing, surface treatments, and metal finishing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as NADCAP, AS9100, or MIL-SPEC is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
